Start a brokerage website migration by inventorying the URLs, listings, media, and integrations you rely on. Build and test the new site against that inventory before moving the domain. This reduces avoidable disruption to search traffic and lead flow.
1. Inventory your existing URLs. Export your indexed and high-traffic pages from Search Console, then add active listings, broker bios, regional pages, and URLs people use in marketing.
2. Get your exports early. Obtain listing records and original media. Check a sample for coordinates, statuses, broker assignments, and image files before assuming the full export is usable.
3. Map old URLs to relevant destinations. Preserve useful URLs where practical. If a path must change, redirect it to its closest equivalent and test the actual response.
4. Rebuild the parts buyers use. Test map search, filters, saved links, contact paths, and agent information on staging with real listings and a phone.
5. Plan the feed cutover. Identify who will switch each supported feed, whether reauthorization is required, and how you will check for duplicate or missing listings.
6. Verify delivery and measurement. Submit a test inquiry, confirm it arrives with the right property details, and check that your analytics and ad conversion events register once.
7. Review after launch. Check redirects, indexing, lead delivery, feed health, and top pages after the switch. Compare the new reports with the prelaunch baseline.
