Deer Camp Digital has supported publishing across Conservation Frontlines since around March 2025. The independent newsroom covers wildlife, wild places, and the people who live alongside them. Its archive brings together stories on subjects as different as wildlife corridors in India and the recovery of mountain bongo in Kenya.
What the archive covers
The stories range from a single species to the people and policies that shape its future. Reporting on Yellowstone pronghorn looks at the habitat animals need beyond park boundaries. Coverage of Tajikistan’s markhor looks at the role of local communities. An article about India’s elephant corridors examines what happens when development cuts across routes animals use.
What it takes to publish that range of work
The challenge is to make each story understandable to a reader who may know little about the species or the place. A useful article explains where the story is happening, what changed, who is involved, and what evidence shows about the outcome. Those details matter when a reader is encountering the subject for the first time through a search result or a social post.
