The best trade show follow-up starts before the booth goes up. Give visitors an easy way to pick up the conversation after they leave, and give your team enough context to make the first follow-up worth opening.
1. Build a page for the show
Put the booth information, what you’re demonstrating, and how to book a meeting on one page. After the show, update it with the material people came to see.
2. Give each QR code a specific job
A product display can send people to a spec sheet or dealer finder. A demo can send them to an appointment form. Label each code with what the visitor will get and test it on a phone.
3. Record what the visitor came for
Ask one question that makes follow-up useful. Were they asking about a hunt, a wholesale account, or a product they want to try? Capture contact permission and keep the form short.
4. Follow up while the conversation is fresh
Send the promised details first. If someone asked for dealer pricing, make that the subject. If they asked about a trip, send the relevant dates or next step.
5. Track inquiries through to sales
Label leads by event in your CRM and assign an owner. Review booked calls, quotes, and sales after the show. Use the findings to decide which demos, offers, or conversations deserve more booth space next time.
